Small Q&A about the Reference Book and the Project

Here’s the small Q&A. Also subject to change until the release of the book.

System agnostic? Does that mean I have to do all the stats work and there’s nothing about roleplay?
No. This book and all subsequent publications support generic D100 (not specifically BRP or Mythras) and D20/OSR systems by default.
This means that stat blocks, modifiers, and any related information are written for these two sets of rules. Meleram is naturally more suited to a D100 game than a D20 one. However, by limiting the superhero/video game side of D&D, it’s also possible to use some gritty D20 settings, such as Shadowdark or Lamentations of the Flame Princess, for example.
Generic elements complete the stat blocks and are designed to be simple and straightforward to ease any GM/solo player’s conversion work.
Regarding roleplaying, both the full and essential versions of the reference book have an entire chapter dedicated to roleplaying in the world of Meleram.
Of course, there are other systems besides D100 and D20/OSR, but I think the provided game data will suffice.

Wait… Are there going to be multiple Province books? Does that mean I need to buy all of them?
Yes, I plan to make at least six of them.
And no, you don’t need to buy all of them. Any Province book is designed to be self-contained and plug-and-play. Some content could overlap different provinces, but that would be considered more of an option or an expansion than anything else.
Similar to the reference book, each province book will have an essential (free) version to allow anyone to see if the content is interesting.

You’re using AI? For what purpose?
All of the written content in this book, including the maps, are human-created. However, in accordance with DriveThruRPG policy, the book is marked as “Contains AI-Generated Content” since AI was used as the source for about one-third of the secondary illustrations. The rest come from my own drawings and public domain sources.
